I have completed a comprehensive Chinese language teaching program at the International Han Institute. The curriculum provided both theoretical knowledge and practical strategies for effective Mandarin instruction, particularly for second-language learners. The courses I completed include:

I have over 20 years of experience teaching English as a second language, with a primary focus on adult learners. My students have included working professionals, university students, and individuals preparing for travel, business, or academic purposes. I specialize in tailoring lessons to meet adult learners’ goals, emphasizing practical communication, grammar accuracy, and confidence-building in real-world situations.
In addition to teaching English, I have provided English-Chinese translation services for clients in business settings. This work has strengthened my understanding of cross-cultural communication and the practical application of language in professional environments.
Now transitioning into teaching Mandarin, I bring with me a deep understanding of how adults learn a second language. With my background in language instruction and translation, I offer clear, structured, and engaging Mandarin lessons—especially suited for English-speaking learners who are just beginning their Chinese journey.
